How to Delete All Partitions On a USB Flash Drive (Windows)

How to delete all partitions on a USB flash drive in Windows:
  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Search for Command Prompt (cmd).
  3. Right-click and Run as administrator.
  4. Type diskpart and press enter.
  5. Type list disk and press enter.
  6. Find the USB flash drive in the list (look at the size) and type select disk #, replacing the # with the disk's number.
  7. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL—CHOOSE THE CORRECT DISK.
  8. Type clean and press enter.
  9. Exit the Command Prompt.
  10. Use the Start menu to search for disk management.
  11. Choose the result that says Create and format hard disk partitions.
  12. Locate the disk, right-click, and press New Simple Volume....
  13. Go through the format wizard and click Finish.
